FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Arkansas Razorbacks podcast with Jason Kersey and Trent Shadid. Today, the guys talk about spring football practices, which are less than a month away for the Hogs.
SEC Country launched the Borderline Erotic Podcast on Aug. 29, 2016. It is named after the colorful way Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema described how he felt after beating Texas in the 2014 Texas Bowl.
Here is a quick rundown on some of the topics we discussed on this, the 119th episode of the Borderline Erotic Podcast:
Spring football fast approaching
Arkansas begins spring football practices on March 28 — which is a pretty late start considering the fact that there are some SEC programs practicing already.
Still, Jason and Trent — along with special guest and local radio host John Nabors — take a look at some players to watch. Those guys include the young defensive linemen and linebackers, sophomore running back T.J. Hammonds and the wide receiver group.
The guys also talk about the backup quarterback battle. Who is in line to be the No. 2 guy behind Austin Allen? Sophomore Ty Storey and redshirt freshman Cole Kelley are going to fight it out this spring and fall, with the winner becoming Allen’s heir apparent.
By the time the guys finished recording this episode of the podcast, Arkansas hadn’t played its game at No. 12 Florida yet. Still, we get John’s thoughts on the Hogs and their recent surge that seemingly has them in the NCAA Tournament field.
