‘Wrongly jailed for 23 years, but it didn’t destroy me’

Robert Jones was wrongly jailed for the killing of British tourist Julie Stott in New Orleans, in 1992.

He was freed in 2015, when his convictions were quashed. Officials have now exonerated him of all the charges.

He tells the Victoria Derbyshire programme that 23 years in prison did not destroy him.

Watch the Victoria Derbyshire programme on weekdays between 09:00 and 11:00 on BBC Two and the BBC News Channel.
